Born into a world of creativity and exploration, my journey into the realm of ceramics began unexpectedly when I decided to join a community makers space. Initially, I approached this new endeavour as just another potential hobby, one that probably won't last long but I'll make a nice bowl and maybe a mug and then loose interest. However, six years later, I find myself deeply immersed in the art of ceramics, continually surprised by my enduring passion for it. The joy and knowledge I gain from working with clay have become essential to my life. Rather than feeling bored with the craft, I often find myself wishing for more hours in the day to dedicate to it.
As a woman navigating the complexities of life at a certain age, ceramics has proven to be a valuable mindfulness practice during the challenges of menopause. The tactile nature of ceramics provides a unique sensory experience that helps me unwind and temporarily disconnect from any anxiety or frustration and focus solely on the creative process.

My approach to pottery is marked by spontaneity and exploration. I often switch between different types of clay based on my current project and mood. Porcelain captivates you with its smoothness and purity, making it ideal for delicate, luminous pieces. In contrast, earthenware appeals to me for its robust and earthy qualities, perfect for sculptural works. Additionally, I frequently utilise porcelain paper-clay, especially for intricate forms that must endure transport from France (where I live most of the year) to the UK (where my kiln lives) in their greenware state; this choice ensures that my creations are sturdy enough to survive the journey before being strengthened during the firing process..

I'm excited to reveal that my pieces are available for purchase on Etsy. Living mainly in France but selling in UK means the pieces are added at different times depending on where I am. Each item is one-of-a-kind, and I don't always return to a style.. If you see something you love, I encourage you not to delay in making your purchase to avoid missing out.
The best way to check when the new range is coming is by following me on InstaGram or signing up for my newsletter.
